A harmonious and warm space, where the view of the outdoors becomes part of the home as if it were a large painting, and where the space—never overly cluttered—allows you to always discover new vistas and perspectives.

Family needs and design requirements led us to pay particular attention to the layout and size of the spaces, in order to achieve our goals while enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.

A rectangular floor plan, evenly divided between living and sleeping areas, and large, fully glazed walls bring light into the entire attic. Wood, a traditional mountain material, takes center stage in this project—in the flooring, the wood paneling of the elegant and minimalist bedrooms, and the built-in cabinets devoid of any moldings, allowing them to blend seamlessly with the walls—and, of course, in the dominant roof structure, which appears lighter thanks to its light-colored paint finish.

A warm and harmonious space

All of this has been combined and paired with more contemporary materials: resin covers the walls of both bathrooms, while glass brings light and creates a sense of continuity between the different spaces. The contemporary furnishings are only seemingly at odds with the space; the warm color palette—ranging from beige to taupe—and materials such as leather or heavily textured fabrics blend well with the home’s atmosphere. Lighting also plays a key role: the design team opted for minimalist fixtures to create a soft, inviting ambiance both during the day and in the evening.
